Jill St. John (36B)

I "met up" with Jill St. John on my first viewing of "Diamonds are Forever". (Actually, I saw her years earlier in the very first episode of the "Batman" TV series, but paid no attention to her then.)

I haven’t come across any films where she has nude scenes (excluding the "covered nipple" scene in DAF), so I will assume that she hasn’t done any. Normally, that is going to be a de facto requirement to appear in this blog, unless a gal has that certain something extra to make up for it. Jill has that something extra.

Jill has a very sexy appearance and attitude, which gets her onto this list despite her lack of nude scenes. (Plus, in her 1970s' photos she resembles my high school girl friend, so…) I anticipate that as she moves up and down in the rankings, she will probably stay right next to Victoria Principal. Jayne Mansfield (40D)

Wow! Just wow! For a long time, the only movie I had seen Jayne Mansfield in was “Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter”, and her brief cameo in “A Guide for the Married Man”. Then about 10 years ago I became aware of the movie “Promises..... Promises!”, which was billed as the first movie showing a mainstream actress fully nude. Say no more! I immediately acquired that DVD, and occasionally watch it just to marvel at her superstructure. That incredibly large chest! That incredibly small waist! And those hips! Well, stop reading and see for yourself…

As fabulous as her body is, that attribute alone will soon become a-dime-a-dozen on this blog. Plus, her voice is somewhat annoying. Still, by the time this blog is done she will still be in the top 15 or 20. For now, she enters the list at #3, below Sybil Danning and above Victoria Principal. Although her assets exceed Sybil’s, she hasn’t displayed them as often.

Victoria Principal (36D)

Back in the day, I would watch "Dallas" religiously, and one of the big reasons was to see Victoria Principal. She was easily one of the hottest babes on TV, and she was always dressed so glamorous and sexy. Years later I came across her Playboy photos on the internet, and weren’t they something!

I have only seen one movie that she was in, and I don’t recall that it was anything special. I read somewhere that she showed some skin in "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean" (her first movie), but for some reason I have never seen that one. I will have to make a point to change that.

She was always so hot on "Dallas", and I can only imagine how she looked as a very young woman in her first movie. For someone who has been pushing beauty products for the past few decades, she has not held up well since her Dallas days. Still, based on her heyday she could remain high on the list, though not as high as other actresses who frequently did nude scenes. For now, she comes in at #3, below Sybil Danning for reasons I just mentioned.

I don't know what's better: her perky breast, or the curve from her waist to her hip!

Sybil Danning (37C)

After posting Sophia Loren in my first blog entry, I had to fight the urge to post Claudia Cardinale immediately afterward. Those two are my favorite actresses of that time period, and both were super-sexy (while managing to keep their clothes on in their movies!) Basically, I am delaying the difficult choice of whether to rank Claudia above or below Sophia for a while yet. 


For the past decade or so, I have developed a fondness for 1980s' B movies and European (Eurotrash?) erotic movies. I like European movies (particularly those by Tinto Brass) because they approach sex and nudity in a more adult manner, unlike many American films (such as Porky's, American Pie, etc) which are all too sophomoric with their "let's peek through the keyhole of the girls' locker room" and other childish bullshit.

One of my favorite actresses of this period is busty blonde Sybil Danning. I first saw her in movies like "Chained Heat", "Malibu Express", "They're Playing With Fire", and "Young Lady Chatterley II", where she displays her ample charms and frizzed-out hair, as she takes charge of the situation. Then I saw some of the European movies she made about a decade earlier (which appear to be pre-breast-enhancement), playing more subdued characters.

As much as I love seeing Sybil bare her bod in so many movies (and have simulated sex in "They’re Playing With Fire"), I can’t knock Sophia Loren off the top spot, at least not yet. If I had a list just of 1970s/1980s actresses in American films, I think Ms. Danning and her boobs would be firmly (see what I did there?) at the top.

Sophia Loren (38C)

First up is the sultry Sophia Loren. Who cares that she is over 80? Like Raquel Welch and a few others, she has maintained her sexiness all these years. In the 1950s and 1960s, there was no one hotter than Sophia!

This photo is from one of her early films (Era Lui... si!, si!) which was filmed in 1951 when she was 18 (or younger, by some accounts). I read somewhere that this was her only nude scene, and that eventually her hubby attempted to have all copies retrieved and destroyed. Too bad!
