recalibrating...

Now that I have posted 19 Classic Ladies so far, when I look at the rankings I see that some housekeeping is needed.

It is clear to me that I have let my boyhood crushes on Sophia Loren and Claudia Cardinale carry too much weight in the rankings, and have not relied on the criteria I used for everyone else, which is generally (in ascending order of importance):

    1. Is she sexy?
    2. Are there nude photos of her?
    3. Has she appeared nude (and better yet, have sex) in her movies?

While I have considered other "intangibles" to compensate for shortcomings in the above criteria, I think I have gone overboard for some on the list. So today I am re-ordering the rankings to place more emphasis on the criteria above.

Also, rather than rank each name as I post them (which results in a constant renumbering for everyone below the new arrival), I am going to list all the names on the sidebar, and add a link to each name as her entry is posted. Today (in my spare time!), I have bubble-sorted about 90 names, based on where I think they should be, relative to each other using the above criteria. This will probably be tweaked over time, but it gives me a starting point.

On second thought, so that I don't overwhelm you or me, I will just post the top 40 names for now. Everyone already posted is within the "new" top 40, and the next dozen or so posts will be also. When I start to post others above that, I will add the remaining names to the rankings. As I said above, there may be some tweaking of the rankings in the future, since I may have overlooked someone (Brigitte Bardot, for example!)

I’m sure everyone got their first dose of Ursula Andress in “Dr. No”, the first James Bond movie. I liked “The Sensuous Nurse” as her best movie because we get to see all of her, as she tried her best to make the old man under her care (as a nurse) have a heart attack.

Ursula surely is a sexy, statuesque beauty, but she’s fighting a numbers game here on this blog. In my head before I started this, she was near the end of the top 10, but that was before I decided to include “non-nude” actresses like Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale, and Raquel Welch. There are also some babes in Tinto Brass’ movies that will come in ahead of her too, once I post them.

Ursula enters this list at #13, right behind Pam Grier. I think she will end up in the 18 to 24 range when this is all over.

Uschi Digard (44F)

Uschi Digard was one of the pioneers of soft-porn films, appearing in over 100 movies, mostly in the late 1960s and early 1970s. From Sweden, she usually didn’t have much to say in her movies, preferring to let her body do the talking. When she did speak, her voice was usually dubbed. She also appeared under a variety of aliases in her earliest flicks. About 10 years ago I saw her in a number of Russ Meyer films, and others that came in 2-movie DVD re-issues.

In one movie (I think it was “Getting Into Heaven”) she’s on the receiving end of a lesbian massage involving dollops of Vaseline (a Nuru slide before there was such a thing!).

This reminds me of my college days, when I would take photos of my girlfriend at motels!

Uschi appeared in almost 70 movies just between 1970 and 1973 alone, and they're all probably the same, so what's the point?

Where she ranks on the list: 
Uschi has a fantastically sexy body – huge boobs, nice (but wide) hips, long hair, and a nice all-over tan. Her face is ok, given everything else. Lots of lesbian scenes, and even some hardcore hetero, as I recall.

I’m putting her at #4 – she’s not as pretty as Anna Nicole Smith, Sonia Braga, or Raven de la Croix, but her curvy body and on-screen antics make up for a lot!

Anna Nicole Smith was a cross between Jayne Mansfield and Marilyn Monroe - and wasn't that enough to make your head explode!

I saw these 2 movies about 10 years ago, and that's pretty much all she did, except for TV shows, and in videos as herself.

She really gets busy in these 2 flicks, and shows all there is to see. I'm going to put her at #4, and lament the fact that, like her role model Jayne Mansfield, she left us too early.
